JOBA honours DAYLIGHT publisher, Azuh Amatus with Excellence Award

The Lagos State chapter of the Juniorate Old Boys’ Association (JOBA), recently honoured the publisher and editor-in-chief of leading online newspaper, DAYLIGHT, Chief Azuh Amatus, with an excellence award, for his immense contributions to the growth of the Nigerian entertainment sector.

The epoch event, which held on Saturday, November 25, in Lagos, was also used to mark the 50th anniversary of the revered school, based in Ihiala, Anambra State.

The award

The Lagos chapter of JOBA led by Mr. Nsofor Chukwuemeka, also used the occasion to unveil its N500 million ICT Project, aimed at boosting technological growth within and outside the institution.

While receiving the award, Azuh Amatus, who is also the author of bestselling books, FAMOUS FACES…Interactions with Nollywood Stars and Stakeholders, thanked the organisers for recognising and honouring him with an award.

“I want to specially thank the leadership of JOBA for honouring me with an award on the occasion of their 50th anniversary. I’m extremely elated because JOBA, which is not my alma mater, deemed it fit to honour and celebrate me with this huge award, for my invaluable contributions to the growth and sustainability of the Nigerian entertainment industry, especially Nollywood. Sincerely, I feel deeply honoured and cannot thank the JOBA leadership enough. This award will spur me to do more,” Azuh Amatus, stated amid smiles.
