Judge bars Nnamdi Kanu’s sister-in-law from hearings for live streaming proceedings

Kanu in court
The federal high court in Abuja has barred Favour Kanu, the sister in-law of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB), from attending three hearings.
Favour is the wife of Prince Fineboy Kanu, younger brother to the IPOB leader.
James Omotosho, the trial judge, gave the order on Tuesday after Favour admitted and apologised to the court for live streaming the court proceedings on her Facebook page.
According to NAN, Kanu Agabi, the counsel to Kanu, also apologised to the court on Favour’s behalf.
But the trial judge insisted that Favour would be barred from three court proceedings.
Omotosho said despite Favour’s phone being seized at the last adjourned date for recording the proceedings, she still went ahead to post the video online.“I want to hear from her. Were you not the one that I took your phone (referring to the last adjourned date)?” the judge asked. Thecable
