Kwara: Gunmen kill female pharmacist, one other

Some yet-to-be-identified gunmen have allegedly launched coordinated attacks on communities in Patigi and Ndanaku, both in the Kwara North Senatorial District, killing two people, including a pharmacy owner.

PUNCH Metro learnt on Tuesday that the incident occurred late Monday night, shortly after Muslim worshippers had observed the Ishai prayer.

One of the victims was identified as the Chief Executive Officer of Biskad Pharmacy in Patigi, who was reportedly shot while the assailants attempted to abduct her.

An eyewitness, who asked not to be named due to the sensitivity of the situation, told our correspondent that the woman was rushed to the Patigi General Hospital, where she was confirmed dead.“The CEO of Biskad Pharmacy, Patigi was shot dead yesterday (Monday) in a shocking attack by bandits who attempted to abduct her,” Kwara Gong, a social media platform that reports local news, posted on Tuesday.
