LG Poll: Electoral officials, voters stranded at Iba LCDA

The empty polling unit

As of 10:43 a.m. on Saturday, electoral officials and prospective voters were seen waiting for electoral materials in several polling units within Iba Local Council Development Area of Lagos State.

When Punch Online visited, it was observed that the delayed arrival of materials had left officials, who arrived hours before, visibly fatigued and frustrated.

The affected polling units include: 012, 014, 033, 044, Iba LCDA, Ojo.Speaking to our correspondent, the All Progressives Congress agent, Babatunde Oladimeji, said he had been at the venue for three hours.He said, “By now election should’ve commenced.”A voter who declined to mention his name told our correspondent, “We’ve been here for sometime. It doesn’t happen like this before. The election should start so we can go back home.” Punch
