LP not moved by defections, says acting chair Nenadi Usman

The acting National Chairman of the Labour Party, Senator Nenadi Usman, has downplayed the recent wave of defections from the party.

She insisted that the LP remains strong and focused on providing a credible alternative to what she described as the “rudderless and visionless” administration of the All Progressives Congress.

Usman, who spoke to journalists while fielding questions on Saturday in Kaduna State, on recent developments within the party, urged Nigerians not to lose faith in the LP, saying the party is committed to restoring national dignity and delivering people-centered governance.

She described the current APC-led Federal Government as the most impoverishing in Nigeria’s history, noting that the hardship faced by citizens had reached an intolerable level. Punch
