Nollywood heavy weights such as Monalisa Chinda, Charles Inojie, Ejike Asiegbu, Francis Duru among other stars, are poised to thrill their teeming fans in a new stage play titled Philomena.

These super stars have promised to entertain and wow their teeming fans in the forthcoming stage production, currently the talk of the town.

Interestingly, veteran actor and theatre guru Bimbo Manuel is the writer and director of Philomena’, the anticipated stage production, causing ripples in the industry.

According to a statement sent to DAYLIGHTng by K’Ike Productions Limited, it stated that the stage play is scheduled to hold from February 11 to 14.

It further added that the presentation would take place at the Atlantic Hall of the Hotel Presidential in Port Harcourt, Rivers state, amid glitz, glamour and grandeur.

Meanwhile, other talented thespians billed to feature in the production include Don Kester and Tammy Abusi.

In the exact words of excited Chinda who equally doubles as the executive producer of the project: “Philomena’ is the deftly and creatively told story of three characters who find themselves, by pure chance, in the same space at the same time, each with his or her personal issues that they would have carried with them if events do not force them out. Each character seeks justification for their rage at society, government and life,” stated the multi-talented actress.

“The presentation of the stage play was carefully timed to hold during this year’s Valentine’s season,” added Chinda, who is also a theatre arts graduate from the University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Elaborating more on the project which is currently making waves, Manuel, also a co-executive producer said: “‘Philomena: Interview With A Prostitute’ cannot be contained in just a book anymore. Like the little acorn, the intensive little play has grown to become a massive star-studded theatrical phenomenon.”

“Sincerely speaking, from my first encounter with the play, Philomena, it became a story that demanded to be told,” delectable Chinda concluded amid smiles.

She also called on lovers of quality stage productions to come out with their loved ones to watch and relax with Philomena.
