Nicki Minaj, Joe Budden drum support for Wizkid’s Essence, urge Grammys to make it song of the year
American rap stars, Joe Budden and Nicki Minaj have urged the Recording Academy, organisers of Grammy Awards, to reward Wizkid with a Grammy at the upcoming edition.
According to the rappers, Wizkid’s 2021 monster hit song, Essence, should emerge winner of the Grammy Song of the year category.
In a recently shared video of Joe Budden’s podcast, which featured Nicki Minaj, Joe Budden said: “We need people on the Grammy board that know that Essence was the biggest song of the year.”
Nicki Minaj agreed with Budden saying, “I mean, that’s true.”
Budden and Ninaj were discussing music, trends and lifestyle ahead of the 64th Grammy Awards scheduled to hold on April 4, 2022.
