Son of business mogul and CEO of Globacom, Paddy Adenuga, has shared an inspiring story of how he almost bought an upstream, exploration and production business in the Netherlands, owned by US oil giant, Chevron.

He said he was 29-years old when he made the bid without the help of his family.

Adenuga narrated the story via his Twitter handle and said he hoped that people will learn from his experience in his quest of acquiring the European assets.

He wrote, “As promised.. the true story on how I tried to buy chevron Netherlands when I was 29. I hope I can pass on this story and the lessons I learned to the next generation…”

Nigerians, however, have things to say about Paddy’s story. While some admired his courage to have attempted such huge deal, others believed that he already has his father’s name and influence to ride on.Punch
