NIS mum as gunmen abduct two officers in Benue

Suspected armed bandits were reported to have abducted two officers of the Nigeria Immigration Service in Benue State.

The incident was said to have happened around the Ukum Local Government Area of the state.

It was gathered that the officers were abducted while returning from duty at a border in Ugbema, Buruku Local Government Area.

Local bandits were fingered in the kidnapping of the two officers who were said to be serving at the Immigration Forward Operations Base, Adikpo, headquarters of Kwande LGA.A top officer in the command, who did not want to be mentioned since he has no authority to speak on the issue, confirmed the abduction of the two officers.
