Nollywood To Hold Night Of Tribute For Prince James Uche

The Nigerian Movie Industry is set to hold an evening of tribute for late veteran actor, Prince James Uche who died early this year.

Addressing newsmen in Lagos, Secretary, Actors Guild of Nigeria – Lagos chapter Jude Orhorha said that “AN EVENING OF TRIBUTE TO PRINCE JAMES UCHE” is designed to give a befitting farewell to an Iconic actor who has contributed immensely to the development of the nation’s motion picture Industry – Nollywood.

“This Tribute to Prince James Uche is organised by Actors Guild of Nigeria – Lagos Chapter with the support of Association of Movie Producer (AMP) Directors Guild of Nigeria (DGN) Creative designers Guild of Nigeria (CDGN) Film video producers marketers Association of Nigeria (FVPMAN) and the Nigeria Society of Cinematographers (NSC).  The event is billed to hold at the popular OJEZ Restaurant inside the National Stadium, Surulere – Lagos. The AGN Lagos Secretary Said.

Also speaking from her base in Atlanta, USA, actress and humanitarian, Chief Ejiro Okuramewho who is head of Mobilisation of “An Evening of Tribute to Prince James Uche” said that efforts are currently on to mobilise major stakeholders in Nollywood, Guilds heads and top Nollywood Stars to ensure we all pay our last respect to Prince James Uche. She posited.

Speaking on the life of the Veteran Actor, AGN Lagos State Chairman, Don Pedro Aganbi who is also head of the Planning committee of the “Evening of Tribute to Prince James Uche said that the late Actor was simply inimitable and puritanically committed as a former Vice President of Actors Guild of Nigeria who also helped to established a lot of the state Chapters of the Guild. “His demise is a big blow to us all because he was a fighter and an enigma. He will be greatly missed but his good works on and off the screen lives on” Aganbi said.

Recall that the veteran Actor passed away in March few hours after securing a visa to India to commence his kidney transplant.
