Residents and business owners at Ijemo, Oba Ademola area of Abeokuta in Ogun State, have expressed concern over the incessant invasion of the community by burglars.

PUNCH Metro gathered that hoodlums had on Friday night broken into some shops in the area, where they reportedly stole valuable items.

Some of the victims and residents who spoke with our correspondent claimed the burglars destroyed padlocks, and bent irons at some shop entrances to gain access to the shops

The residents lamented that the community is always under attack from yet-to-be-identified burglars.

A resident, Victoria Omoraka, who claimed the burglars once broke into her shop, appealed to security operatives to come to their aid.

Omoraka lamented that the police have not been able to find a solution despite reporting burglary cases on different occasions.

She said, “They burgled my shop in August, while they did the same to another person in September. They stole grinding machines and four motorcycles. They were unable to burgle my shop the second time. Punch
