Oyo State Government has suspended three teachers over the allegation that they were involved in sexual harassment at the Oyo State Basic School, Ogbomoso.

The Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Mr Rahman Abdu-Raheem, who announced this in a statement on Friday, said the Principal and the Head teacher of the Oyo State Training School for the Blind had also been transferred.

The commissioner explained that the suspension and transfer were the state government’s response to a viral video and unrest in the school recently.

He explained that the steps taken by the state government would equally enhance free and unbiased investigations by the four-man probe panel put in place.

The commissioner therefore emphasised that the various letters issued took immediate effect, so as to restore peace in the school. Punch
