PHOTOS: Abuja PDP protesters injured in road accident

Members of the Peoples Democratic Party were involved in a road accident during their protest against the judgement of the Supreme Court on the 2019 Imo State Governorship election.

The PUNCH reports that some of the PDP protesters were injured in the accident.

It was learnt that the accident happened when two separate vehicles containing the PDP protesters rammed into each other at the Transcorp Hilton junction.

The Supreme Court had on January 14 nullified the electoral victory of Chief Emeka Ihedioha, who is the PDP Imo State 2019 governorship candidate.

The apex court held that the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Chief Hope Uzodinma, is the duly elected governor of the state and ordered that he should be sworn in as the governor of the state.
