Protest erupts in Rivers as policeman allegedly kills tricycle rider
A tricycle rider was reportedly killed while three other youths sustained injuries following a violent protest in the Rukpokwu community, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State on Thursday.
The angry youths clashed with the Police after a Keke rider, identified simply as School Boy, was shot dead.
It was learnt that a trigger-happy policeman allegedly killed the keke rider around 6 am and escaped as youths attempted to lynch him.
Angry youths in the area have evacuated the corpse of the victim and dumped it at the Rumuokoro police division amid heavy gunshots. Punch
