She generally enlighten the participants on the importance of hygienic habit as it facilitates the interest of the consumers. Also the participant should learn how to use the five letter words ‘’sorry’’ when a customer’s express dissatisfaction over a product. The facilitator does not fail to ensure the participant understand that tiger nut business is highly expensive as well lucrative if properly done under a hygienic conduction. Tiger nut must be keep fresh without preservative. She advice, it should be refrigerated if it must be kept till the next day.

INGREDIENT FOR MAKING A ‘’TIGER NUT’’

Definition: tiger nut also known as chufa, yellow nut sedge, or earth almonds are not  actually nuts,  but rather edible tubers, they are the size of a chickpea but wrinkly with a chewy texture and sweet nutty flavor similar to coconut. The ingredients include:

TIGER NUT (OFIO)                                                            1 PAINT

DATE           (DABINA)                                                       1 PAINT

COCONUT                                                                           5 PIECES  (THE STRONG ONES)

WATER                                                                                 1 AND HALF JUG OF WATER

 

PREPARATION;

Step one:

Wash all the ingredient thoroughly; then, pill the date to remove away the inner seed, and remove the inner part of the coconut.

Step two:

Soak the items for 12 hours, then blend all the ingredients together,

Step three:

Squeeze and rinse with the 11/2   jug of water

Step four:

Get your sieve to fitter out the little particles or shaft

Step five:

Bottle it and refrigerated do not add sugar, honey and preservation.

Health benefit:

Tiger nut reduces high sugar level in the body and renewed high strength in the body.

 

INGREDIENT FOR MAKING A ‘’SOYA MILK’’

SOYA BEANS

CLOVE (LONOFURU)

SUGER (PROBABLY IF NEEDED)

WATER

Step one:

The ingredient should be soaked with water for 12 hours.

Step two:

Blend them together.

Step three:

One jug of water is needed for squeezing and rinsing.

Step four:

Cook briefly for a while them bring it down to cool off

Health benefit:

It is good for a pregnant woman.

 

INGREDIENT FOR ‘’KUNU MAKING’’

MILET                                                                                    1 PAINT

SWEET POTATO

CLOVE (LONOFURU)

SUGAR

HOT WATER (BOILED)

Step one:

Wash the potato thoroughly to ensure it is clean

Step two:

Blend the ingredient together

Step three:

Squeeze and rinse to remove the shaft

Step four:

Add hot water and cover it for 8 hours

 

Note:

To make kunu drink takes 48 hours.

Health benefit:

Good for strength and manpower in the body

 

INGREDIENT FOR ‘’ZOBO MAKING’’

ZOBO LEAF

FLAVOUR (OFF YOUR CHOICE)

PINEAPPLE

GINGER

OZIZA SEED

BOILED WATER (HOT)

Step one:

Ensure your water is boiled before adding the zobo leaf and other ingredient together

Step two:

Cook for some time before fitter to remove the shaft

Step three:

Allow it to cool off before adding sugar and refrigerated thereafter.

Health benefit:

Ensure kidney and liver function, lower blood pressure and give blood to human system.
