Thierry Henry meets Anthony Joshua, talks Nigerian jollof rice

WBA World Heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua, met with Arsenal legend and current Belgium national team assistant manager Thierry Henry recently in an event in the United Kingdom.

 

Henry known for his love for anything Nigerian did not waste much time in getting acquainted with Joshua as they had one too many to talk about and laugh about. Joshua took to his Instagram to share photos of himself and Henry with the caption: ” Good to see you @thierryhenry ⚽️ P.s. There’s a seat for you at the Christmas table ”

The Arsenal legend who had been schedule to visit Nigeria on a Scheduled event also took to his Instagram page to post the picture with Joshua with the caption: ” Great to see you today Champ @anthony_joshua P.S Keep that seat free for me at your Christmas table #jollofrice”.

Joshua’s popularity could well be displayed to the max on December 17 when he is shortlisted for the BBC Sports Personality of the Year.

He happened to be one of 12 British athletes shortlisted for the awards with the winner to be named at Liverpool’s Echo Arena. It would be recalled that former World heavyweight boxing champion, Tyson Fury, has claimed that New Zealand’s boxer Joseph Parker would end Anthony Joshua’s unbeaten streak if they meet in a heavyweight showdown next year. naij
