A few months back, DEMOLA OLOTA –DEMOLTA received a divine instruction to lead our nation Nigeria in organized prayers that would lead to Economic and Political prosperity.

 

As a patriotic Nigerian, he complied with the divine instruction and mobilized creative, human, financial and material resources to activate the National Project, PRAYER FOR NIGERIA Song, featuring the National Musical Legend- Evangelist (Professor) Ebenezer, Obey.

Dateline Tuesday, 26th of September, 2017, Demola Olota- Prayer for Nigeria Ambassador, officially unveiled the National Project-PRAYER FOR NIGERIA.

The memorable unveiling was executed with a Press Parley with Journalists from National Dailies, Soft Sell Magazines and Professional Bloggers in attendance.

In his official statement, Demola ,aka Demolta made it clear that PRAYER FRO NIGERIA was inspired by the Holy Spirit to rescue the nation and Nigerians from insurgencies and Economic Recession.

He further made clarification that he was instructed to ensure that PRAYER FOR NIGERIA is distributed to Nigerians free of charge.

When asked if he would allow Governmental and or corporate support to distribute tnationwide, Demola said that;

“it is humanly impossible for me to do the free distribution adequately because of limited resources, but with notable Nigerians in corporate governmental organizations, it shall be made possible. So I need them and I am inviting them to join me in this National project”

 

Vocal athlete/Singer, Organist, Performing Artist, Music Producer, Director, Writer, Trainer and Saxophonist, DemolaOlota-DEMOLTA is a name that represents gospel music in all its ramifications- Choral Ministration, Coaching and Public Performance.

Demola Olota is unarguably Nigeria’s number one Intellectual Music Performer.

Born into a family of Medical Practitioners- Dr. Gabriel Bamidele Olota, who was the Organist at St.Andrews Catholic Church, Idumagbo, Lagos and Mrs. Mary Gbonjubola Olota, who was a Chief Matron at Ikorodu General Hospital, before retirement.

Demola started playing the organ in 1987 at St. Dennis Catholic Church, Bariga headed by Rev Fr D.J. Slattery (SMA) during his final year at Bishop Howell’s Memorial Secondary School.

Demola Olota is the organist and choirmaster of St. Dominic’s Catholic Church, Yaba.

He initially studied Computer Science, but his deep love for music and the arts generally took him to the Creative Arts Department of the University of Lagos, where he specialized in Music and Majoring in Voice.

 

He was the youngest Assistant Organist at the Holy Cross Cathedral. He was then employed as the Organist and Choirmaster at St. Dominics Catholic Church in 1990 by Rev.Fr Thomas McDermott (OP) on special demand when he heard him play ‘Jesus Joy of man desires’ by J. S. Bach shortly before one of the Sunday masses.

He played the organ for six masses every Sunday for several years before the church could get a reliable assistant due to the commitment and demand of the position. And he has since been the organist there till date, an engagement he never misses despite being in such high demand. Being well grounded in his musical is foremost on Demola’s agenda, which is why he consistently chooses the rigors of classical expression over the reward of commercial exuberance.

 

He founded his musical team of young talented musicians “De Clique Vocals” a private choral group on the 8th of August 1992, and later De Clique Band which has since then performed for the American Embassy, Norwegian Embassy, French Embassy, opening ceremony of the musical Society of Nigeria complex MUSON, Lagos State Government, Adam and Eve, Aart of Life Foundation, Chevron, Exxon Mobil, Michelin, First Bank of Nigeria Plc, Addax Petroleum, Total, The Presidency, Emzor Pharmaceuticals, Kings College centenary dinner, Vivian Fowler Memorial Girls College Annual Graduation ceremony, Cadbury Nigeria, Globacom, His Royal Highness Oba Adedapo Tejuosho, Alake of Egba Land- Oba Adetokunbo Gbadebo, Sir (Dr) Molade Okaya Thomas, Mr & Mrs L.
