Tribe Nation Theatrical Distribution is proud to announce the release of “TREPIDATION”,  a riveting horror film directed by rising filmmaker and director, Ini Usendiah. This highly anticipated horror film is set to captivate audiences across Africa this Easter season. Following the successful international release of “THE OTHER ONE” (also known as “L’AUTRE HOMME”), Tribe Nation Theatrical Distribution continues to solidify its position as a leading distributor of compelling cinema experiences.

Set against the backdrop of modern-day Uyo, Akwa Ibom, Nigeria, “TREPIDATION” tells the chilling tale of a young mother tormented by terrifying  nightmares after visiting an abandoned family property. As she embarks on a quest for answers, she uncovers a terrifying truth that her family has concealed for decades. With spine-tingling suspense and riveting performances, this film promises to keep viewers on the edge of their seats.

Starring Nollywood sweetheart Theresa Edem-Isemin (known for ‘Ayamma’, ‘My Village People’, and ‘The Olive’) in the lead role, alongside acclaimed Nollywood actors Preach Bassey (Africa Magic’s ‘The Covenant’), Tersy Akpata (Showmax’s ‘Wura’), and Aniebet Francis (‘The Final List’), in supporting roles, “TREPIDATION” boasts a talented ensemble cast that brings the story to life with remarkable depth and intensity.

The movie premieres today March 29, 2024 in major cinema chains and independent theaters across 10 French-speaking African countries (Burkina Faso, Benin, Cameroon, Congo, Gabon, Guinea, Senegal, Niger, Togo, Côte d’Ivoire). Distributed by Tribe Nation Theatrical Distribution, the 20-cinema release makes Ini Usendiah’s “TREPIDATION” the widest Nollywood release in Francophone West Africa in recent years ahead of Funke Akindele’s “A TRIBE CALLED JUDAH,”’ which reportedly opened in 13 cinemas across 8 countries in that region. Audiences can expect a thrilling cinematic experience that will leave them spellbound from start to finish.
