DSS arrests officer accused of ‘abducting, impregnating’ minor

The Department of State Services (DSS) says it has arrested Ifeanyi Onyewuenyi, a serving personnel, for allegations of marrying a minor (name withheld) and forcefully converting her to Christianity.

In a statement on Friday, Favour Dozie, deputy director of public relations at DSS, said the allegations against the officer are currently under investigation.

“However, it is hereby confirmed that, an active staff, Ifeanyi Onyewuenyi, who is suspected to have forcefully converted and married one (name withheld), has been arrested and is currently being investigated,” the statement reads.
